Your teacher will present you with his / her studio policies on: tuition payments, late fees, absences, inclement weather and discontinuing lessons. Please respect them. As a general rule . . .
- Fees for the entire month are due in advance or at the first lesson of the month. Prepayment shows a commitment to your lessons. Your teacher reserves the right to discontinue your lessons and offer your lesson time to another student should you fail to pay tuition in a timely fashion.
- There are no credits or refunds for missed lessons. Please remember that you are not only paying for your teacher’s expertise, but for reserving a weekly lesson time exclusively for you. Should your teacher's schedule permit, a makeup lesson may be offered, but it is not guaranteed. Please contact your TEACHER if you need to cancel a lesson.
- In the event of inclement weather, your teacher will contact you should he / she need to cancel lessons (or for any reason). When in doubt, please contact your TEACHER. Should your teacher fail to inform you of an absence and you show up for the canceled lesson, that lesson will be free to you.
- Please give your teacher the courtesy of whatever notice he / she may require prior to discontinuing your lessons, or the financial equivalent thereof should you need to conclude lessons immediately. Most teachers require at least 2 weeks.
- Students in good standing with their former teacher may re-register for lessons without having to pay the registration fee again for up to 1 year. Teachers reserve the right to opt "not to teach" any student who failed to give them or a colleague proper notice when discontinuing lessons or who owe for past lessons.
