MMS's school service team is the backbone of our business. We currently employ over 5 educational representatives who serve most of our 600+ school accounts on a weekly basis, twelve months a year within a 125 mile radius of our Headquarters in Hanover PA. These representatives, who collectively have almost 100 years of experience working with school music programs, are responsible for delivering print music, accessory and instrument orders to educators, picking up and delivering instrument repairs, and coordinating all student rental activity (repairs, new rentals, and switches). Our school service representatives are the primary points of contact in coordinating beginner and step up parent meetings at schools, and they are instrumental in providing (as needed) recruitment assistance and other educator assistance.

Menchey Music Service has one of the most complete and modern repair departments in the country. Menchey's employs technicians who can repair almost any instrument in a timely and efficient manner (typically no more than a one week turnaround). Located in South Central PA, we offer competitive repair rates on repads and overhauls. Repad instruments are totally disassembled, cleaned and disinfected, and new corks and the highest quality pads are installed. The instrument is then play tested and adjusted. Clarinet & flute overhauls include the same service procedures plus the polishing of the keys and body. On brass instruments, dents are removed from the finish and then highly polished. Only the finest air dry lacquer is applied to protect the fine finish.

While Mencheys encourages players to have their instruments professionally maintained in an instrument repair shop periodically (ie. 1-2 times per year), basic routine maintenance clearly prolongs the life of the instrument and reduces the occurence of more serious repairs.
